Liverpool City Region: United Against Hate

The VS6 Partnership are heartened to see communities from across Liverpool City Region coming together in the last few days in solidarity against racism, Islamophobia and xenophobia, showcasing the true heart and soul of our City Region.

Liverpool City Region is an area deeply rooted in advocating for social justice and supporting communities. Community activism is a cornerstone in our local social fabric. A huge reason our region is the success it is today thanks to its rich and beautiful diversity and cultural history.

The violence and destruction wreaked upon our communities and our voluntary, community and faith groups, fuelled by racism, Islamophobia and xenophobia, has no place in our City Region.

And while hate does discriminate, love does not. The VS6 Partnership stand in solidarity with our VCFSE colleagues and our communities across Merseyside during these troubling times. We are actively working with the Phoenix Way, our Cheshire and Merseyside’s racial justice network, and their members to support them as they navigate how to keep their staff and communities safe.

As always, the VS6 Partnership remain committed to building a safe and prosperous Liverpool City Region for all. We are united against hate.
