Welcome to VS6’s newest member, Wirral CVS

VS6 partners are pleased to welcome the newest member to the partnership, Wirral CVS.

Throughout the past 12 months there have been ongoing planning and discussions regarding the shift of voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) infrastructure support on the Wirral.

Until August 2022, Community Action Wirral had been providing infrastructure support for local VCFSE organisations on the Wirral including the provision of information, advice and guidance as well as connecting local organisations in collaboration with the public and private sectors. Community Action Wirral was also a VS6 partner, providing a voice for the VCFSE on Wirral at a Liverpool City Region level.

Wirral CVS will now take over VCFSE infrastructure duties and responsibilities and have formally applied and been accepted as a key member organisation of the VS6 Partnership. Karen Livesey, Director of Wirral CVS and named VS6 representative said:

“Wirral CVS are delighted to join the VS6 partnership and are very much looking forward to working with partners to give Wirral’s VCFSE sector a strong voice to influence in Liverpool City Region”

VS6 Independent Chair, Rev Canon Dr Ellen Loudon expressed her warm welcome to Wirral CVS:

“I am really pleased to welcome Karen and Wirral CVS into the VS6 Partnership and look forward to working closely to ensure the voice of the Wirral VCFSE sector and communities is heard at the Liverpool City Region level. As one of the 6 boroughs that make up the City Region, it is crucial to have the link into the Wirral VCFSE sector to develop and drive forward our collective strategic vision, and ensure that organisations on the Wirral continue to feed into and benefit from the work of the VS6 Partnership.”
